Podium Notes is built and maintained by one person. If something isn't working, you have a question, or you've got an idea to make it better, I'd genuinely like to hear from you.

Common questions
What is Podium Notes?
It's a teleprompter for speakers. A steady focus band stays fixed on the screen while your script scrolls beneath it, so your place is always in the same spot and you can keep your eyes up on the room.
How does the focus band work?
As you scroll your notes, one band stays put in the same position on screen. Your text moves through it at your pace, so you glance to the same place every time instead of hunting for your line. You can set the band's position, color, and height in Settings.
How do I get my script into the app?
A few ways: type or paste it directly, import a plain-text (.txt) or Markdown (.md) file, or share a note straight from Apple Notes into Podium Notes. Whatever you bring in is copied onto your device.
Can I present a PDF?
Yes. Open a PDF and it renders full-screen with the focus band riding over it, just like a text note. PDFs are present-only — you read and scroll them rather than edit them — which makes them great for slides, scripts, and handouts.
How do I change the look?
Settings offers Light, Dark, Sepia, and Ice themes, an adjustable display font, and full control over the focus band's color, height, and position. Pick whatever's easiest on your eyes under the lights you'll be speaking in.
Does it remember where I left off?
Yes. If you step away mid-talk and come back to a note, Podium Notes returns you to the same scroll position — down to the line — so you can pick up right where you were.
Can it check my spelling?
In the editor, tap Check to run a full spell-check pass over your note. Misspelled words are highlighted so you can scroll through and tap any of them to fix it in place. The check runs entirely on your device.
Does it work on both iPhone and iPad?
Yes — on both, in portrait or landscape, with the layout sized for the device you're holding or the tablet on your stand.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your notes, imported PDFs, and settings stay on your device. Podium Notes has no accounts, no servers, no tracking, and no ads, and the developer never sees your data. You can read the full details in the Privacy Policy.
I found a bug, or I have an idea.
Please email me. The clearer you can be about what happened — and what you expected to happen — the faster I can sort it out.
